Xara Extreme - Digital Editing and Illustration

Not too long ago I ran across an ad for digital image editing and illustration software called Xara Extreme. One thing I didn't need was another PhotoShop "me too" product. After all I have been using Photoshop since the early nineties and was very pleased, it is the standard for photo imaging.  The only thing I found wrong with Photoshop is it lacked illustration capabilities and for that you would need to buy Adobe Illustrator. Well I'm not a professional graphics designer and Adobe Illustrator was way over my expertise.  Then I tried Xara Extreme.

Xara Extreme was the perfect compliment to Photoshop because you can actually draw with it just like Illustrator, the best part though is that it's a fraction of the cost of Illustrator and PhotoShop. 

I didn't waste any time I tried the free 30 day download and fell for the software and it's less than $100.00! I don't mean $99.95 I mean $89. USD. That's a lot less than Photoshop and Illustrator.

Don't get me wrong, in my mind Photoshop is still # 1, but it doesn't have the ease of drawing that Xara has. You really have to try it to see how simple it is. There are plenty of tutorials and videos to show you how to do most anything with the software too.

By the way when you buy Xara, you can download it immediately but the folks at Xara will also send you a CD with the Xara Extreme software also.
