GIMP Free Digital Imaging Software

I was a little surprised when I first downloaded GIMP just to see what it was like and I was shocked that such a sophisticated piece of software was open source and free.

If you have your own website you know that you are constantly creating custom graphics for this or that. I normally use Adobe Photoshop to do the task and have done so for about 14 or so years. GIMP is not a replacement for PS but comes pretty close. I just wish they had this kind of software when I was starting out.
