How to Make Great Money with All Your eBay Auctions
If you've ever attempted to sell a product on eBay and struggled don't be discouraged. There are many different
ways in which you can enhance your eBay auctions, making them irresistible to your potential buyers and drawing in
the profits for you, the seller. Check out some of the top tips included below and start to implement them today,
you'll be amazed at the difference they'll make.
1. The importance of a great title
A common reason that eBay items do not sell successfully is due to the inability for prospective buyers to actually
find the listing. It is likely that you will be competing with a range of other providers of goods and therefore it
is absolutely imperative that people searching for your item will find it. Take the time to ensure that your title
is informative and includes the keywords that people will search for, also check that each word is spelt
correctly.
2. Choose your picture carefully
Under no circumstance should you ever assume that pictures for your eBay auctions are non-essential. Many buyers
simply won't open your auction if there is not one included. Try to take your snap on a plain background with good
lighting to show your product off. If you have the time, take several photographs so that you can see which would
be the best for your particular listing. You're as human as your buyers so pick the photo that attracts your
attention the most.
3. Choose a low starting price
The reason that people log on to eBay is not to buy merchandise at the same price that they would pay on the high
street; they are searching for a bargain. Now, the more time you spend on eBay the more you will realise that
'auction fever' can set in, pushing up the price of certain auctions to far more than they would sell for
elsewhere. This happens naturally if your listing comes complete with a great description, an excellent title and a
photo, however starting your auction with a high starting price is a guaranteed way to turn off any potential
interest at the outset. Instead start your listing low and wait for it to be swept up with the desire to win that
is generated in an auction setting.
4. End eBay auctions at the right time
Are you awake at 6am every day? Or up until 4am before heading to bed? You need to be aware that not everyone
follows your schedule. If you set an auction up to end at an antisocial hour you will find that it will not sell as
successfully. The best times to end auctions are around 5 - 7pm on weekday or Saturday evenings, and on a Sunday
afternoon. While different products sell more successfully at different times, these are always likely to be good
time slots to end your auctions in.
5. Communication is essential
Although your online eBay auctions are not as personal as if a person walked in to a shop in order to buy the same
product, you can still treat your buyers as valued customers. If you are asked any questions answer them as quickly
as possible, preferably within 24 hours, and be polite! This customer service will distinguish you above many other
sellers and will increase your overall feedback level, helping you to sell successfully in the future.
