ClickBank is a website that promotes thousands of digital products such as eBooks and
software. Most all of what they promote is immediately downloadable. If you wrote that eBook we
discussed in the last section, ClickBank would be one of the sites you would list your site and
eBook.
The best part about ClickBank is that they also provide you with a way to take payments for
your products, in other words,they are also a merchant processor. In
this way when you first get started, you needn't sign up with a merchant processor to handle credit card
payments, ClickBank will provide you with the service. There is no cost to join as an affiliate, selling other people's
products. If you
want to sell your own products you will have to sign up as a ClickBank
vendor. There is a fee but it's small and it is one-time only per
product. It's worth it considering the exposure you will get from being on their
site.
Joining ClickBank will help you in two ways. The first way is that they provide tens of thousand of
products to sell. Mostly eBooks and
software. The second reason to join ClickBank is that they are online credit
card processors. This means that if you decide to
write your own eBook and create a simple website
to advertise it you will become part of the ClickBank directory.
You will not need to become a
credit card merchant because ClickBank will provide that service for you. Once you join ClickBank, you
then become eligible to sell any of the product listings on the ClickBank site. This is where the power of
Google Adwords becomes evident.
Use the Adwords
program to advertise products as an affiliate for that product. Drive targeted traffic using
your ClickBank special code to any affiliate site. If the individual buys the affiliate product, you
make a commission.
