The question you must answer is "Do I want competing ads on my website and will those competitive
ads affect sales of my own related products?"
These are some of the considerations you need to make when you are building a website.
Internet Marketers are mostly equally dived about this tactic, so it becomes more trial and error for many website
owners.
Google AdSense Tools:
There are many different tools that you can use to help you with making money with AdSense, so here are a few
that I would recommend because I have used them on my own sites with successful results.
HyperVRE is a free download and you can make
some stunning AdSense sites with it. There is an upgrade of course, but the basic free version is enough to get you
started and is additionally supported by Instant Adsense Templates so you have plenty of template design to work
with.
XSite Pro is a web
authoring program that is designed to maximize your efforts in Internet Marketing simply and easily integrates
AdSense ads into your web pages. See features list here.
An interesting and free tool is the VRE
Toolbar which has several different functions for developing niche sites by providing a source of keywords
and a niche generator tool.
TIP:
I found a very interesting way to develop eBay products using the combination of the VRE
Toolbar and the WorldWide Brands service. It's simple, run
the VRE Niche tool to get product niches then take those names, singly, and drop them into your
World Wide Brands research tool to find viable products to
sell.
It's not rocket science, I know, but it's better than thinking up new product niches
yourself.
Remember that Google does not release specific information on AdSense revenue share. However there are
some keywords that historically pay better than others. If you become a HyperVRE customer you will have access to their keyword list, which gives several points
of information on keywords including how much they pay out. Another way to get at the keyword payout is to develop
your own lists with Keyword Elite.
Google AdWords
AdWords is the flip side of AdSense in that you provide a set of keywords to Google and create text or image ads
in the same sizes as AdSense. When AdWords ads are published they become part of the AdSense network and can be
shown as either Google Search related ads that you see when you search for specific information or they are content
based ads that appear on related websites.
You decide how you want your ads to appear as either in search results for specific keywords or on content
related sites. You decide how much you are willing to spend on each click to your site. You can sign up for a free
AdWords account on our site at:
AdWords is a quick way to get traffic to your site however, you need to understand it completely in order to not
go broke using it. Costs can mount very quickly as Google is the premiere search engine world-wide. You have a
number of tools that you can use to control costs but you need to stay on top of it or you’ll loose your shirt. I
don’t mean to un you off or scare you but just warn you that you need to proceed with caution.
AdWords is a great marketing tool and I use it daily however I have been using AdWords for quite some time so I
have a reasonable handle on it.
AdWords Tools:
- One tool that I believe is a must, for AdWords Ads, is KeyWord Elite. You can develop 100 or 10,000 keyword lists
within minutes, find out what the top bids are, find out how many searches are done on each keyword and find
out how many sites have information on each of the keywords. There are several indicators that can tell you how
worthwhile it is to use a specific keyword in terms of competition as well. I find that it’s the ultimate
AdWords tool.
- FREEGoogle’s Keyword
Tool (Free) will provide you with keyword suggestions for keyword phrases that you supply to it. It
will also give you an indication of how many sites and searches are done for each keyword but only represented
graphically with no specific numbers. The only way you will find out if you can afford the keyword is if you
select it for your list. Google will tell you what the minimum bid is.
- WordTracker is one of the top
online services for keyword development both from an ad and SEO perspective. The WordTracker link above is to
the free keyword tool, however you may want to try the full service because of the many functions it provides
versus the free keyword tool. WordTracker is the choice among Internet Marketing and SEO pros. They also offer
a free keyword tool that provides significant keyword information.
