If you are writing and distributing articles or you are placing one-way links on other websites you need to be creating links with anchor text. Anchor text is a simple device that associates your website, blog or webpage with a keyword or keyphrase.

This is important because if you want to be found by a specific keyword when a search is done you need to be associated with that keyword or phrase.
