Joel Comm's Adsense® Templates

If you haven't seen or heard of Joel Comm The Master of Google Adsense^® on the Internet, you haven't been doing a lot of research on Google Adsense.^®  Joel Comm is considered by many as one of the top players within the world of Internet Marketing and making money with Google Adsense® Advertising.  The purpose of this article is to review his product Monthly Adsense Templates, by assessing the quality of the product, the technical support and the ease at which it can be implemented as well as the cost dynamic.  And most importantly, can this product make you money?

In addition to being one of the best AdSense Templates on the market today, Joel's AdSense Templates can now be resold!  This is a unique opportunity because they have the name and reputation, which is 75% of the marketing effort, and they are well known to be of higher quality than many other "junk templates" that are currently out there.

This means you can have a turnkey business re-selling these quality templates.  I'm sure that this may only be a temporary lapse in good judgement by Joel so take advantage of it. 

This is not a download product.  Each month you will receive, by mail, a CD with your templates.  Each CD contains templates in several different formats, Basic HTML, HyperVRE (Free Download), XSitePro, WordPress and phpBB.   In addition to the templates you also receive some PLR articles for content.  The templates are organized on each CD with a master menu consisting of the templates, PLR articles, video instruction and a mystery bonus which is usually a software giveaway.  In the set that I received was a program called Word Page Builder which is a program that takes MS Word documents and creates websites from them.  I found it to be a pretty useful tool.  I also received 10 additional header graphics that can be used anywhere.  The header graphics were of the same quality as the regular templates.

You will have to copy the templates you want to use onto your hard drive to be able to use them.

Quality: Rating: 9 (Scale 1-10 )

The quality of the  Adsense® Template websites is exceptionally good.  Graphics are of high quality and the layout of the sites are professionally done.  I can attest only to the HyperVRE , XSitePro and basic HTML templates since I use all three.  (At the end of this article I will show you live examples of HyperVRE and XSitePro Sites.) Having used other Adsense® template programs from some very popular providers I can honestly say there is no comparison to the Joel Comm Templates in terms of quality.  In addition to each set of templates are several versions of the header graphics.  This is important because you want to have the ability to customize your headers.  Each of the header folders contains several versions of the same header so if you do not have Adobe PhotoShop, for example, you can still edit the headers in your paint tool accessory with your Windows OS.  This was a big plus to me because customization is a very big factor in creating Adsense® sites.

The PLR articles are okay.  I'm not a big fan of PLR articles to begin with because anyone can use the same article which means that you will have duplicate content. Most of the top search engines will penalize you for duplicate content.  If you have issues with writing your own articles you may want to consider a tool like Instant Article Wizard which gathers data on your topic and puts it into a readable format to create articles.  It's pretty easy to use and requires average skill to operate.

If you don't want to use an article tool you can take the PLR articles and re-write them using a standard word processing program that has a dictionary and thesaurus.  The important point is making the article your own by changing the content.

Monthly Adsense® Templates comes with video tutorials by Eric Homelund, Joel Comm's partner in this program, which are very good. And aimed at the novice-intermediate user.  These are straightforward tutorials with visual instruction on each of the template types.  Additionally there are numerous tips on how to more effectively use each of the software types i.e.. phpBB, HyperVRE and XSitePro. I have been online for quite a few years and found the videos to be helpful.  That's the Internet, learn something new each day!

In addition to the video tutorials is a top notch Help Desk that is very responsive with almost any question.  Response time was within 24 hours and sometimes shorter. The issue with most help desks is the quality of the response.  In the three cases that I presented the follow up was very good

Technical Skill Requirement: Rating I (Scale N=Novice, I=Intermediate, A=Advanced)

I had a tough time evaluating the Technical Skill requirement because it really falls between Novice and Intermediate.  Some of the technical skills are really basic such as how to set up each type of template, what software may be required and what to expect.  There were some implementations that I thought were beyond novice such as the implementation of the I-frame and use of the Magic Ad tool.  Eric Homelund does a great job in the videos and makes most of the instruction as easy as possible but I had to harken back to my early days of building websites and some of it may be beyond the Novice stage. If you are a "Newbie" don't be concerned because the Help Desk support is very good.

Additional Requirements:  None

There are no additional requirements other than a basic html editor.  If you don't have a basic editor you can get a free one at http://www.nvu.com/index.php a free open source application.  You can use your Windows Notepad as well.  It's probably a good idea to get an html editor for future projects.

You don't need to have HyperVRE either however it's a great product that provides a lot of features that keep your website' s content fresh, such as RSS feeds directly into the website.  The basic version is free as well at HyperVRE.

XsitePro is optional, however there is no free version.  The difference between HyperVRE and XSitePro is one is easy the other is easier.  I don't know of any other software that is as easy to use as XSitePro.  UPDATE: Intellimon has recently released XSitePro Version 2.  This version is so impressive you really need to go to the features page to get the entire picture.  You can literally get a website up within a few minutes.  The end result is very professional as well.  This is our top pick for a website creation tool and version 2 is fully supported by Joel Comm's Monthly templates. 

Pricing

I don't list any prices here because everything changes so quickly on the Internet.  I will say, however that the cost is reasonable and that you do receive a lot for your money.  A while back I purchased an Adsense® Template program from another vendor and found the product lackluster, the support abysmal and the graphics quality mediocre.  I don't mention any names because that's not what we are all about. 

The biggest issue with any program is, can you make money with it?  I have made money with the program and I don't like to share my results because everyone's results are different and can vary from person to person and they reflect varying levels of skill.  I will say that your results will be dependant upon how well you are skilled at driving traffic to your sites, how well you are at customizing your site and site content.  You must also think like a marketer and be sure to maximize product sales within your website.

If you are considering Adsense® related websites as an additional source of income, Joel Comm's Adsense® Templates are, in my opinion the best.  Could you do it yourself and save the cost of the program? The answer is yes, with a provision.  It would take you a very long time to compile the research, graphics and articles to create one site in the time that you could create a dozen or so with the Instant Adsense® Templates product.  Additionally, you would also need to become a graphic design pro.  In my case it wasn't so much the hard work to do it myself it was the little issues that are so nagging like formatting and design that can take hours to figure out.  I have several examples of live sites below that each took me a days work to put up.  That's everything including registering a domain and hosting the site.

My Recommendation:  Highly Recommended 

Below are several sample sites created with Joel Comm's Instant Adsense Templates and using HyperVRE or XSitePro (There are separate reviews of HyperVRE and XSitePro that you can read by clicking here) In each case, once I had finished my article research and domain name registration it literally takes about an hour to put up a first class profitable website with Instant Adsense Templates and either HyperVRE or XsitePro.
