The Challenge Of Cultivating MLM Opportunity Business Leads
The key to building a successful network marketing business begins with the quality of leads you get. This is
more important than the quantity of them.
How you obtain those leads is the challenge. A good book, QBQ?, was written a few years ago by John Miller.
His basic message is to take responsibility for yourself by asking questions such as "How can I...?" or "What can
I...?"
In getting leads then the questions are, "What can I do to get great leads?" and "How can I cultivate leads
myself?"
The answer may surprise and is nothing new. It is a way for potential business partners to view you as a desirable
person for them to work with. It is known as "attraction marketing."
Through attraction marketing your future customers and partners will want to come to you- instead of you having to
twist their arms to come aboard. It works because most people want to work with a leader and someone who can guide
them.
It's no different from anything else whether it's a parent or a teacher or a coach, people like to be around those
who can give proper and positive direction. It's no different in MLM.
People may initially choose a company because it appears to be great for many reasons but if there is no one to
give guidance and to lead, an authority, the retention rate will suffer.
People want and need someone who can lead them to success by helping them overcome their challenges and
problems.
In other words if someone is looking to make extra money to pay off some bills, or in order to quit a job they
dislike, then your job is to convince them you are the one to lead them to that goal.
To do that you need to be able to sell yourself as a person that can make their lives better. You will be able to
track the lead you need if you can project that about yourself!
The question is then, how do you go about doing this, establishing yourself as the person that potential leads are
looking for? Note, I said "person" and not "business" as it really is about what you can do for them and not what a
business can do for them.
Your prospects need to see what you have to offer. Advertise yourself all over the place, on related websites and
on sites such as Craigslist and in newsletters and journals.
You can send traffic to lead capture pages that grab e-mail addresses. This lets you build your own data base that
you can then market to directly.
Utilize social media sites. This is a good way to share your message and build up followers.
Once you've built a data base, get an autoresponder and send out timely emails with informational tips, followed by
your advertisement for your business.
