4 Reasons Why People Do Not Join Your MLM Business
I have been driving traffic directly to the company provided mlm landing page and playing the
numbers. Here are my observations on why people will fill out the form, but do not actually join a mlm business
doing it this way.
1. Your website visitor does not know you. They fill out the form and start getting email messages which is good.
The problem is there is no personal credibility at this point. Many people surf the internet and have a very short
attention span. Unless something catches their attention they are not going to join right now.
2. They can not afford to upgrade or do not want to spend any money yet.. Most landing pages are designed to get
the name, email address, and sometimes the phone number.
People will give you that info, but that does not mean they will pull out their credit card yet. If they can not
afford it there is not much you can do.
For others they still need more information and some people take up to 12 exposures or more before they will act.
Some never will.
3. The product does not matter to them. This is actually a real reason not to join an network marketing
opportunity.
Over the years many people have joined because of the opportunity and never developed an attachment to the product.
The best long term success stories are from distributors who loved the product and used that affection to attract
new members to join with them.
4. They do not really have a strong reason why they want to join. This is a personal reason that you can not
control yet.
Some people need to make more money, but they do not really know how they will spend it. People who do join know
exactly why they need more money and what they will do with it. These often turn into your best distributors who go
on to build the largest downlines.
I am convinced that social marketing is the best way to prospect for leads. Meeting people lets them like you and
it is more normal for them to join. You have the credibility because you have earned over a period of time.
Creating a pre-sell page before sending your prospect to your landing page is a smart thing to do. This allows you
to warm your prospect up and get them in the buying mood. More people will join if they know more from you and not
just the landing page or company provided sales page.
Internet marketing will always be a numbers game to a certain extent. However you can encourage your prospect to
join your mlm business by doing a few of things I have written about. It is easier to sponsor new distributors if
they want to join.
