Using social media on the internet has made it possible to have a lot of fun and make money. One reason average people are making money from their home computer today is because of the Internet.

There are several ways social media can help you make money from your own home with nothing more than your computer and Internet connection.

1. Create videos and market your products online through video sharing sites. YouTube is the most popular sites on the Internet today. They are owned by Google and have become a real resource for Internet marketers to promote products online.

Joining an affiliate program and promoting affiliate products through the video itself is a common way this is done. However there is a trick to using videos to promote things online.

The most popular videos are those that teach people how to do something. For example if you are an Internet marketer and are interested in learning how to create videos you might search for a video on YouTube on how to do that.

The person conducting the video can include a link to their website or affiliate products and embed it in the script of the video itself. It's only natural for people who are watching your video to then follow the link to something that you might sell.

2. Another form of social media that has taken the Internet by storm is blogging. Monetizing a blog is very easy to do.

One of the most common things you see done today is through the Google Adsense affiliate program. By posting ads on their website using google adsense you can earn money when someone clicks on those.

3. A popular way to market products and programs online has become social networking. Twitter is a perfect example of how people develop a list of followers and then market products to them.

The trick with social networking is to get to know people as more than just a name and email address. Building relationships works very well in social networking and selling programs or products is a natural progression from that.
